Since leaving the Fuller Institute, I have been focused on consulting with congregations, with occasional presentations at seminars. In addition to on-site consulting, I provide support to church leaders online. Here are two forms of availability: - Teleconferences. These meetings are conducted by telephone. You set an appointment with me for a specific conference time. We furnish you a phone number and a passcode. Using the "Meet me" plan, you and those you invite join us by calling into a telephone "conference bridge." Each caller pays their own phone tolls to connect. The calls are typically about an hour long.
- Since holding a handset for an hour is tiresome, you may wish to invest in a headset telephone, which is more comfortable. Inexpensive headsets with boom microphones are available at Radio Shack stores or online.
- We prefer not to use speaker phones because of the echo effects and background noises sometimes experienced with them.
- We discourage using "on-hold" buttons because we have frequently encountered interference from "music-on-hold" features on some phone systems.
- PC based web conferences. These meetings do not require a telephone. They are conducted while you are online, and require headsets with boom microphones to hear and speak. You may participate with a dial-up connection to the internet, and you will be able to take part in the audio conference, engage in text chat and view powerpoint slides in a browser window. If you have a broadband connection and a webcam (optional), those who speak will be able to be seen as their turn comes.
Telephone and web-based conferences are by appointment. | Diagnosing churches and coaching leaders are my primary callings. Give me a ring and let's see if we can find a date that works for both of us. If so, we'll set a schedule and a budget. The progress you will make will be a blessing to many. Presenting various Church Growth and small groups topics in seminars is my second passion. Sponsoring churches and organizations contract for me to come as keynoter or workshop leader or both. I greatly enjoy working with your staff and lay leaders. Sometimes a local church will invite sister churches to send people. That way they get better numbers and share the expenses.
