Performax Personal Profiles and Custom Reports

Since 1978, I have successfully used a personality assessment instrument called the "Performax Personal Profile," or the "DiSC" test as it is popularly known, as I consult with congregations.  The letters "DiSC" are an acronym for the four scales it uses to describe behavioral tendencies in the workplace (Dominance, Inspiration, Steadiness, Conscientiousness).  It is published by Inscape Publishing (formerly Carlson Learning Company) and distributed through consultants.  In addition to using this instrument, I have distributed them, and purchasers have reported satisfactory results.

Two forms of the instrument are available.  The Personal Style Preview is a brief and inexpensive way ($6.00 US) to discern a person's profile.  The standard Performax Personal Profile is more extensive and more costly.  It comes in a self-scoring (and self-interpreting) version for $17.00 US.

Many of my clients prefer an extensive set of computer generated reports analyzing the DiSC profiles.  These are available apart from a consultation in a basic report for $50.00 each.  (Multiple reports carry a modest discount.)  Additional supplemental reports can be added, covering a choice of up to six topics, at $6.00 US each. when ordered at the same time.  The supplemental reports give expanded definitions to a person's tendencies and tips for working with them in various ways.

My clients have been very pleased with these analyses, many ordering additional profiles for new staff and even prospective staff after a consultation is essentially complete.  These reports open up many areas for fruitful discussion as candidates for positions find the profiles helpful in expressing their work patterns.  Teambuilding is more effective as the people who will make up the team are better understood.
