Introducing Carl
George Carl George conducts training events for pastors and lay leaders
in many denominations. He also serves as a consultant to local congregations
and associations of churches worldwide.
His book directed to lay leaders, Nine Keys to Effective Small Group Leadership, helps them understand their privileges and responsibilities as partners in ministry with clergy leaders. His latest work on the MetaChurch concept is an audio self-study kit. The MetaChurch Workshop contains information that has been shared with teams and leaders from over a thousand churches in intensive three-day seminars. As a congregational analyst he has extracted ministry principles from effective, growing churches and shown how these can be applied by innovating and renewing churches everywhere. He is currently modeling a new generation of training methods utilizing Tutored Video Instruction (TVI) and Structured Interviews for Debriefing (SID) within the context of a new streamlined Coaching Method to help professional staff learn how to effectively share ministry with lay leaders, so as to enhance pastoral caring and evangelism in local churches. Carl George is an ordained pastor, with academic interests in social psychology, systemics, leadership and organizational development and biblical studies. Carl and Grace are parents of six children and have three grandchildren. They reside in Diamond Bar, California, twenty-five miles due east of downtown Los Angeles. For more information: Leadership
